Apple Intelligence is moving from lab demos to real-world Mac and iOS workflows. Three indie tools embed the tech directly into everyday tasks: Flix Fixer 2, PDF AI Renamer, and Inkscribe AI.
Flix Fixer 2 — The TV-show renamer now runs on Apple Intelligence. Foundation Models identify the TV show, season, and episode inside filenames, then fetch metadata from TV Maze. A new Template Builder lets you craft exact filename structures using metadata, plain text, and video metadata like codec and resolution. The app is free, with a small one-time fee after about 250 renames. Note: the Foundation Models API for third-party apps is only on OS 26 and higher.[1]
PDF AI Renamer — Version 1.3 adds Apple Intelligence support and is optimized for macOS 26 Tahoe.[2]
Inkscribe AI — Launched on the App Store, a complete document intelligence platform with ScribIQ. It promises near-perfect OCR and can process up to 10 PDF pages at once. Built for iOS with a native design, it supports Shortcuts, iCloud sync, and offline processing.[3]
These three illustrate a trend: OS-optimized AI features bleeding into niche tools beyond standard productivity suites.
